ISO/IEC JTC1 SC22 WG21 N4349 - 2015-01-24
Jonathan Wakely, [email protected]
Teleconference information: Date: 2014-12-05 Time: 8:00am N.Am. Pacific Time Duration: 2 hours
Sutter called the meeting to order 8:10 Pacific Time.
In attendance were:
The agenda in N4298 was adopted by unanimous consent.
The minutes in N4250 were adopted by unanimous consent.
The previous action items were all for Urbana, and were all completed.
There have been no changes requiring review.
The National Body comments are in N4307.
Yasskin pointed out that comment JP-1 was not discussed in Urbana.
The comment requests a new function related to apply()
.
The request looks reasonable, but is an extension not a bug. Yasskin suggested
we don't take it and request a paper.
Boehm also proposed rejecting the comment and ask for a paper.
Wakely strongly supports rejecting the comment. The problem solved by the
proposed feature can be done eaily in C++14 using a polymorphic lambda, and
the implementation proposed in the comment is wrong.
Clow also agreed with the proposal to reject the comment.
Sutter suggested all other comments had been addressed. Yasskin confirmed that all other comments were addressed by the paper in the post-Urbana mailing except for FI-3 which is editorial and will be dealt with before the TS.
The updated working draft, N4335, reflects the changes for all comments except JP-1 and FI-3. N4337 is the corresponding editor's report.
Sutter asked if the editorial change for FI-3 will be made and another working paper sent out, or whether it will be put into v2 of the TS. Yasskin stated he would include it in the DTS to be sent shortly, to which there was no objection.
The National Body comments are in N4308.
Sutter reported that all comments were addressed in Urbana and Boehm confirmed that. Sutter asked if the updated document, N4312, reflects the changes. Boehm confirmed that it does, he had looked at it the previous night and all edits were applied.
Sutter confirmed that the status page has been updated.
There was nothing needing review except the agenda and minutes approved at the start of the meeting.
None.
Approved by unanimous consent.
The PDTS documents will go to the editorial committees.
The disposition of NB comments document will be made available.
There is a WG21 meeting in January for Concepts. There will be a WG21 telecon before the Lenexa meeting. The LWG meeting in Cologne is not a WG21 meeting and so nothing will be voted out at that meeting.
There will be a mailing in February.
Sutter adjourned the meeting.
